I think it would be safe to say that I want everything in the store, and if you've been into the shop I'm sure you feel the same. So, when I sat down and had to choose my top 5 favorite items I knew it wouldn't be an easy task, but I was up for the challenge. Let's get started!

Open Habit Knotted Portfolio Bag, Pine & Black:

I was obsessed with this bag the moment I saw it come in. Not only is it my favorite color, it's so obviously well-crafted. The rich pine color is a subtle stand-out to your typical black portfolio bag, but is still neutral enough to go with any outfit. Size-wise, the bag opening is 20" and there is space for your laptop, a few books, your current project, and whatever else you may need while out on the go. Plus, it's water resistant! Made in Portland, $220.

Bobbie Specker Vessels, Blue:

I've always been so intrigued by Bobbie's work. Each of her vessels are hand-crafted which gives them all their own unique characteristics, and the shapes are unlike any other vase I've seen. When we started to carry her vessels in this eye-catching matte blue I knew that I would eventually need to snag one of these for myself. Perfect on its own, with a flower, or even one of our air plants, this vessel will surely be a fun gift to be treasured. Made in Portland, $68-110.

Libertine Fragrance, Soft Woods:

I've worked at Mantel for almost a year now, and every single day I'm in the shop I go around and smell everything again. If you've been into the store I'm sure you remember how good it always smells. This year when we started stocking Libertine I knew that I would be smelling these at least once a day. Each scent is unique, but it is the Soft Woods that really made my nose happy. With notes of black pepper, juniper berry, balsam fir, rose de mai, frankincense, and bourbon vanilla this is the quintessential PNW scent for both men and women. Made in Canada, $75.

The Granite Seed Jar, Olive Striped:

Here I go again obsessing with that pine color! I've always admired work by The Granite, a woman-owned workshop here in Portland, for their unique shapes and playful patterns. The Seed Jars are 4.5" tall and 3.5" in diameter, making them a great size for the bathroom or kitchen to hold all sorts of things. Or, since they are so beautiful on their own, they make a great statement on a bookcase or credenza. Take off the cork top and they would even make for an eye-popping vase. Made in Portland, $86.

Pumice and Stone Bar Soap, Clary Sage & Fresh Avocado:

I started using the Pumice and Stone soaps earlier this year and I've been hooked because of how soft they make my skin feel. I love that the packaging is minimal, which creates less waste, and all the ingredients are organic. They are packed with different oils (olive, coconut, castor, RSPO organic certified palm, avocado, etc.) and then lots of essential oils for scent. My two favorites: Clary Sage and Fresh Avocado. Made in Portland, $8 each.
